چکیده

Surface reconstruction for particle-based fluid simulation is a computational challenge on par with the simula- tion itself. In real-time applications, splatting-style rendering approaches based forward of particle impostors are prevalent, but they suffer from noticeable artifacts. this paper, we present technique that combines simulated features deep-learning image manipulation to improve quality be perceptually similar ray tracing solutions, circumventing cost, complexity, and limitations exact surface by replacing it flat cost neural network pass. Our solution idea training generative deep networks pairs consisting cheap impostor renders ground truth high ray-traced images.

Interactive Rendering of Giga-Particle Fluid Simulations

We describe the design of an interactive rendering system for particle-based fluid simulations comprising hundreds of millions of particles per time step. We present a novel binary voxel representation for particle positions in combination with random jitter to drastically reduce memory and bandwidth requirements. To avoid a time-consuming preprocess and restrict the workload to what is seen, t...

Stochastic Particle-Based Volume Rendering

In this paper we propose a particle-based volume rendering approach for unstructured three-dimensional tetrahedral polygon meshes. We stochastically generate millions of particles per second that are projected on the screen in real-time. In contrast to previous rendering techniques of tetrahedral volume meshes, our method does not need a prior depth sorting of geometry. Instead, the rendered im...

Point-based Surface Rendering with Motion Blur

In this paper we show how to extend point-based surface rendering to illustrate object motion. We do this by first extruding the circular points into ellipsoids, which fill the space traced out by the points in motion. Using ellipsoids instead of cylinders achieves a low-passing effect of the motion trail. We then find the screen-space projection of each ellipsoid, which is an ellipse. These ca...

Hybrid Sample-based Surface Rendering

The performance of rasterization-based rendering on current GPUs strongly depends on the abilities to avoid overdraw and to prevent rendering triangles smaller than the pixel size. Otherwise, the rates at which highresolution polygon models can be displayed are affected significantly. Instead of trying to build these abilities into the rasterization-based rendering pipeline, we propose an alter...

Particle-based Rendering for Porous Media

Particle-based modeling and simulation of granular or porous media is a widely-used tool in physics and material science to study behavior like fracture and failure under external force. Classical models use spherical particles. However, up to 108 polyhedral-shaped particles are required to achieve realistic results comparable to laboratory experiments. As contact points and exposed surfaces pl...
